An online space to talk about matters related to the emotional wellbeing of people with severe and profound intellectual disabilities.
Julie and Rosie held Zoom sessions on the last Friday of the month from 10-11.30 and invited anyone with an interest in the emotional wellbeing of people with severe and profound intellectual disabilities to join in. The topic of conversation invited is broad – the emotional wellbeing of children and adults with severe and profound learning/intellectual disabilities, autism and PMLD.
Their aim was to create a space to connect, share, ask questions and feel supported in all matters related to the emotional wellbeing of children and adults with severe and profound intellectual disabilities.
Families & professionals were welcome.
‘Wow. I really enjoyed the first session. This is such a great space for sharing ideas, knowledge,
and information whilst connecting with like-minded professionals and family members. The
informal, conversational feel allows freedom of conversation in a non-judgemental,
supportive and relaxed way. This is a fantastic resource initiative, facilitating open discussion
and sharing of perspectives, experiences, resources and support in a friendly and
compassionate manner. Well done and big thanks to all involved.’
